Tehran is ready to restart nuclear discussions with the United States as long as it is treated with "respect" and "respect", Tehran's foreign minister has stated.

The Iranian diplomat stated solely negotiations was effective, and disclosed recent overtures had been made by intermediaries to resume negotiations with the US government. The earlier sessions of negotiations between the United States and Iran were concluded unexpectedly and hostile conclusion on 12 June when the Israeli government, with US support, targeted Tehran's atomic facilities in a 12-day war that culminated with the American leader asserting the locations had been destroyed. Subsequently, EU nations employed their authority to reinstate global restrictions, but Iran asserts they have not had a significant effect.

Ideal Resolution Suggested

Iranian officials claimed they felt they had achieved a "magic solution" to the uranium processing matter in previous talks, when it was agreed an Iran-based consortium with Washington's engagement could process nuclear material. The two nations would have been able to claim victory since local refinement would have persisted and the US could be certain that Iran's nuclear programme was entirely non-military.
