The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually happening.
